Privacy Policy

Short version: the favicon editor runs entirely in your browser. Your icons, colors and designs are never uploaded to our servers, because there is no server side to this tool — and there is no account to tie anything to.

1. What we collect

Designs you make — nothing, and we never receive them. Tile settings, icon choices and exports are computed in your browser. Your current draft is saved in this browser’s site storage (localStorage, under the key fmk-state-v1) so it survives a reload, a closed tab and a return visit later. It never leaves your device: we cannot see, store or recover it. It is removed when you clear site data for this site in your browser, and anyone using your device can see it. Download your files before clearing.

Contact messages — only what you send. If you email us, we receive your address and message so we can reply. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle it.

Basic site telemetry — minimal. We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics (page views, referrers, device types) to understand which pages help people. This data cannot identify you and is never sold.

2. Cookies

We use as few cookies as possible — today none of our own. Your editor draft is site storage rather than a cookie, so blocking cookies does not affect it. See the Cookie Policy for the full list. There are no advertising cookies set by us today; if we enable Google AdSense after approval, Google may set its own cookies as described in Google's advertising privacy documentation — we will update this page first.

3. Third parties

• Fonts: pages load Inter and Space Mono from Google Fonts. Google receives your IP address and user-agent as part of that request, per its own privacy policy.
• Icons: the Lucide glyphs are bundled with the site — no icon CDN calls at runtime.
• Hosting: static files are served through our hosting/CDN provider, which processes standard server logs (IP, timestamps) to deliver pages securely.

4. Children

Favicon Maker is a general-purpose design utility with no age gate, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we knowingly collect no data from anyone. Parents or guardians may contact us about anything concerning.

5. Your rights

Because we hold essentially no personal data, most requests resolve trivially: there is nothing to export or delete beyond our own inbox threads. Residents of the EU/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA) may request access, correction, deletion, or limitation of any correspondence data by writing to hello@faviconmkr.com. We respond within 30 days.

6. Data retention & security

Site pages are static; there is no user database to breach. Email correspondence is retained only while a conversation is active, then archived or deleted. We use HTTPS everywhere.

7. Changes

Major changes to this policy will be noted here with a new date. Enabling third-party advertising (e.g. AdSense) counts as a major change and will be disclosed before any ad script loads.
