Terms of Service

Last updated: September 20, 2026. Contact: hello@faviconmkr.com.

By using Favicon Maker at faviconmkr.com you agree to these terms. They are written to be read in two minutes.

1. The service

Favicon Maker provides a free, in-browser favicon and logo editor. Everything renders locally on your device; we operate no accounts, no cloud saving, and no render queue. We may change, suspend or retire features at any time, and we aim to keep the tool available without guarantees of uptime.

2. Your exports are yours

Whatever you create with the editor — tile styling, layout choices, downloaded SVG and PNG files — belongs to you. You may use exports for personal or commercial projects, including client work, without paying us or asking permission. See §3 for the one caveat: the underlying icon glyphs carry their own open-source license.

3. Icon licensing (Lucide)

The icon picker ships glyphs from the Lucide set, distributed under the ISC open-source license. In practice this means you can use, copy and modify the icons — including inside commercial products — provided you honor the ISC terms (keep the copyright notice where the license requires it, e.g. when redistributing the icon set itself). We credit Lucide in our footer; attribution inside your finished favicon file is appreciated but generally not required for a rendered mark. If your lawyers are thorough, have them read the ISC text linked from Lucide's repository.

4. Acceptable use

Use the tool to make marks, not trouble. You agree not to: (a) probe, scrape or disrupt the site's infrastructure; (b) misrepresent Favicon Maker's output as an endorsement by us; (c) generate marks that infringe third-party trademarks, impersonate brands, or violate the law. Trademark clearance is your job — a favicon that looks like someone else's logo is a dispute waiting to happen, and it is on you to check.

5. No warranty

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind — including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that exports will validate in every browser, store or platform. Test your files (we show you real-pixel previews to make that easy).

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Favicon Maker and its maintainer are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the site — including lost profits or rejected app-store submissions. Direct liability, if any, is capped at the amount you paid us (which, for a free tool, is zero).

7. Privacy

Use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. The short version: we collect almost nothing, and your designs never leave your browser.

8. Changes & contact

We may update these terms and will post the new date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Questions: hello@faviconmkr.com or the contact page.
